Dear Classical Wisdom Kids,
The interesting thing about Medusa is that there are so many stories and different versions of her... that very few know the whole story.
Indeed, she began like all Gorgons, just a flying head!
Watching her representation change throughout the centuries is a fascinating subject in and of itself (she actually gets more beautiful with time!), so today we’ll stick with the one we saw in Corfu.
This one still shows you some of her original Gorgon look, but with legs. Personally, I think it’s one of the more fun versions! I mean that tongue... You can see my attempt at drawing her for “Pin the Snakes on Medusa” and the Medusa puzzle, below.
If you didn’t get a chance to read the story of Medusa in Frida’s postcard, you can do so here:
Now that everyone’s up to date on the ancient story, please enjoy our awesome activities, games and crafts below. From Medusa’s bad hair day to a great Mirror Toss Task, we have our Classical Wisdom Kids Club Members covered.
You’ll notice that we came up with LOTS of different games that can be done with the same crafts. I fervently believe the activities should take much longer than the set up… so when the set up can be used again and again, that’s a serious win in my book! I hope you agree :)
All the best,
